There can be no possibility that anyone else is the father, and the mother has to have been unmarried when the baby was born and while she was pregnant. If those terms are met, you both sign an affidavit stating that you are the Father and it is settled.
This is a quicker, easier way to handle a paternity dispute for unmarried fathers when there are no issues or disputes involved and the parents are on good terms. It saves time, money and headaches and allows you to move forward with the real issues - raising your child.
